Robert Pattinson’s magnetic looks have made him one of the biggest young stars in Hollywood. He can look searingly hot when he stares straight into the camera, but that reflects only facet of his personality.

This photo set by Robert Yager for The New York Times captures Rob displaying a full range of emotions, from melancholy to moody. But more than anything Yager also captures his easy-going, affable nature.
The background is simple. Rob stands in a doorway, wearing a yellow shirt, his hair, a by-now-familiar tousled mop and his face rugged with a three-day beard.
It’s no wonder Pattinson has become a heartthrob to millions. But as the Times article, which ran in June, notes, Rob is still trying to find himself as an actor.
“The searing, worldwide fame that has come with the franchise has left him emotionally raw,” writes author Brooks Barnes.
“Hunted by the tabloid media (“R-Patz Cuts His Hair!”), Mr. Pattinson changed hotels six times in the month and a half he has spent in Los Angeles filming “Water for Elephants.”
He arrived for coffee wearing both a baseball cap and sunglasses to cover his floppy locks and haunting good looks, and he immediately vetoed a booth hand picked by a publicist for its privacy as too public.
“Kris is better about dealing with photographers than I am,” he said, referring to his equally sought after co-star, Kristen Stewart, after finally settling on an outdoor nook surrounded by tall hedges.”
For the 24-year-old actor, haunted and haunting might be an apt descriptions, but also human, too. Just check out these photos:
