Best Coast/Wavves – “Got Something For You”
For: anyone who hates waiting for gifts. As the Kristen Stewart-Robert Pattinson of the indie rock world, Bethany Cosentino (of the band Best Coast) and Nathan Williams (of the band Wavves) could release anything together and people would listen. But the California couple certainly wasn’t phoning it in with their track for Target’s free holiday mixtape; between its jangly guitars, sing-along chorus, and relatable lyrics (who hasn’t tried to sneak a peek of their gifts in the middle of the night?), “Got Something For You” has all the makings of a Christmas classic.
