So, maybe she didn't have the best start at the premiere of her first major film, Panic Room. But it's no reason to panic, girls! Obvi she gets a whole lot chicer (though not the hardest feat with shoes like that)

With four more movies under her belt and another four inches of a growth spurt, Kristen scored the big sister role in Zathura and went the boyish route on the RC with worn-in jeans and a blazer (before the "boyfriend blazer" got hot). And this would be the first of many times that she's comfortably rocked Chuck Taylors on the carpet.

K.Stew was under the radar for most of '06, but she made style headlines with this floaty ivory dress at the Into The Wild premiere in '07. The ribbon detailing was a glam, vintagy touch and we like seeing her in pumps! Plus, doesn't she look great as a blonde?

January 2008

Still more comfortable in jeans than a dress, Kristen headed up to the Sundance Film Festival in stylish, moto-inspired layers and her favorite American Apparel hoodie. She's comfy, cool, and most importantly herself. No wonder she landed Robert Pattinson as a boyfriend.

Walking with hot, to-be BF Rob on her first trip down the MTV Movie Awards RC clad in Gucci, Kristen exudes confidence in her body-con, all-black ensemble. Perhaps she was channeling the darkness of Forks as she was filming? We like her mysteriousness and those pumps!

The day Twi-hards had been waiting for, Kristen chose an amazing color-blocked Balenciaga mini dress and accessorized with a Chanel clutch and Christian Louboutin pumps for the world premiere of Twilight. She told InStyle.com, "You end up at these things and you're never wearing your own clothes. The fact that I can borrow [all of this] for a little while is fun!" We can only imagine!

May 2009

After Twilight hit it big, Kristen attempted to stay mum while shooting the underground hit The Runaways playing Joan Jett. But that raven-black hair against that gorgeous asymmetric red Yigal Azrouel dress caught our eye at the MTV Movie Awards. The Cons may have been to help her recover from a sprained ankle, but we think they're kinda perfect.

What makes Kristen stand apart from most other celebrities is her ability to rock a trend without the trend rocking her. Case in point, Proenza Schouler's epic spring 2010 top and skirt duo that she wore to a UK Fan party in winter 2009. The flirty skirt and bright top were out of character for the usual vampire-themed colors she usually goes for, but she looks stunning. And those stems? Sigh.

Maybe at times she acts like she doesn't want the fame, but when she pulls off a gown like this, it's obvious she's just gonna hafta deal! At the New Moon premiere, Kristen graced us with Oscar de la Renta's gorgeous tulle gown that glimmered like a vampire!

March 2010

She wasn't up for an Acadamy Award this year, but Kristen did get to go to the Oscars as a presenter. And of course, she chose the perfect dress for the occasion. The classic navy Monique Lhullier gown had a glamorous '60s vibe that had us seeing her as a modern day Audrey Hepburn.

The secret of Kristen's style success? We think this dress sums it up: She NEVER tries too hard. She picks one awesome, body-rockin' dress like this strapless sequined Emilio Pucci mini, pairs it with covetable shoes like these Sergio Rossi peep-toes, plays up a slept-in smoky eye, and pulls off undone up-dos. That's her formula and she's sticking to it.

We un-die! At the NYC screening of Eclipse, Kristen wore a fall trend that made our jealousy feathers ruffle. Sure, it's another mini, but we can't get enough of those long legs and we particularly like the contrast of the long-sleeve against bare stems. What would we give to have this RM by Roland Mouret dress in our closets? Well, not our love for Kristen Stewart's style, of course. But anything else.
