Kristen Stewart, 20, and Taylor Swift, 20, are perfect examples of young women who have millions of fans, and who have success — transitioning from child to adult stardom without relying on shock value to get attention.

K-Stew got her start at the age of 12, and had roles all through her teen years before being perfectly cast as the Twilight saga’s Bella. Taylor started writing her own music and performing at 12 — and by 14 she became the youngest staff songwriter ever hired by Sony/ATV Tree publishing house. Today, K-Stew is famous style-wise for her perfect pale skin, her minis by Oscar de la Renta, Versace, J. Mendel and Louboutin and Sergio Rossi heels.

Taylor’s signature dress-up look is sparkles by Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Jenny Packham. On the relationship front, they are both discreet. They’re one-man-at-a-time women. Kristen only recently went public with her romance with co-star Robert Pattinson. Taylor has only publicly dated one man – Taylor Lautner — and was always chaperoned on those dates by her mom.

Now, the world is their oyster. Kristen begins shooting On the Road, a film based on the Jack Kerouac classic, while Taylor is in the midst of a world concert tour.

And all that without giving photographers a full view of their underwear, or walking around on the streets with their bras in view.

“When you have talent, you don’t have to stoop to these levels of insecurity and take your clothes off,” points out media image consultant Michael Sands. “Just imagine if Angelina Jolie took her clothes off — she wouldn’t be where she is now. Look at Pam Anderson, where is she at now? She’s doing a sideshow in Vegas.”

Who’s specifically in this new Class-Act Pack, besides Kristen and Taylor? It’s Twilight’s Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Anna Kendrick and Dakota Fanning. There’s former Disney star Anne Hathaway, current Disneyettes, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, and big-screeners, Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum.

At the other end of the spectrum — the “trashies” include Miley Cyrus, Taylor Momsen, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and of course Lindsay Lohan.

To stay classy doens’t just include dressing, it’s also about partying — as in NOT partying. “Look at Anne Hathaway and Emmy Rossum — their brand is elevated because they are among the few of their age NOT partying at night,” points out branding expert Samantha Ettus.

On the other hand, getting drunk and dressing like they belong in a bordello creates an image that isn’t easily erased from our mind. “They diminish any intrigue of mystery or class and it’s difficult to get back. Remember when Britney got out of the limo visibly without underwear? I call that ‘The Britney Spears spread.’ That will be one of the things many people remember most about her,” Ettus continues.
