Michael Cera will make a T-shirt just for you at Comic-Con.
In what it’s dubbing “Scott Pilgrim vs. Comic-Con,” Universal is making sure that “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” will have its presence felt at the convention in advance of the movie’s Aug. 13 release.
Starting Thursday afternoon and running though the weekend, “Pilgrim” will take over the area across from the convention center near and in the Hilton Gaslamp to create an “immersive experience.” One of the experiences will be a “Pilgrim” room with a DJ spinning tracks and more importantly ... a make-your-own-T-shirt stand where cast members will help construct shirts for fans.
That’s right: Stars Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anna Kendrick and even director Edgar Wright will take shifts to dress you.
“Pilgrim” will also be the centerpiece of Universal’s Thursday afternoon panel in Hall H. “Paul,” the studio’s sci-fi comedy about two geeks traveling to a comic convention, will bring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, among other cast members, on stage.
So that basically means that Wright, Pegg and Frost will be on stage together. Fans of “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” rejoice!
