First look: Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in brand new 'Snow White' images

Chris Hemsworth plays The Huntsman in "Snow White and the Huntsman," who is hired by the queen to kill Snow White but ends up falling in love with her. Typical.

Hemsworth was the titular Nordic superhero in this summer's "Thor."

"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart has toughened up as the armor-clad heroine in the revisionist "Snow White and the Huntsman" that so far promises to have a darker edge than that of Relativity Media's untitled counterpart starring Lily Collins and Julia Roberts.

Charlize Theron as the Queen

Oscar-Winner Charlize Theron plays the role of the evil queen, who banishes the fair Snow White from her corrupt queendom.

Theron won an Oscar for "Monster" and was nominated for "North Country." She was recently seen i "The Road," opposite Viggo Mortensen.

 

Sam Claflin as the Prince

Sam Claflin was one of the new additions to the "Pirates" franchise on this summer's smash hit "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

"Huntsman" opens nationwide June 1, 2012.
